Casanova Custom Homes cost us both time and money throughout our build process. Our home took approximately 15 months (451 days) to become livable and was still not 100% complete at closing. We were left to finish several items ourselves, including patching a hole in the wall, completing finishing touches, and addressing an incomplete kitchen. We did not receive all cabinets, floating shelves were never installed, and the vent hood was left partially exposed. Progress was extremely slow, with months passing and minimal work completed. Toward the end, the project appeared rushed to meet delayed deadlines.

Casanova Custom Homes repeatedly failed to meet agreed-upon deadlines between the builder, homeowner, and bank. Our original completion date of August 31, 2022 was extended to October 31, then December 23, yet we did not close until January 6, 2023. These delays resulted in additional costs, including approximately five extra months of interest and a loan extension fee. We were often told subcontractors would be on site, but they failed to show without notice or follow-up.

They also failed to follow proper procedures with both us and our bank, raising concerns about their time management and overall business practices.

Communication was a major issue. Casanova Custom Homes primarily communicated by email and did not respond to calls or texts. Meetings were only scheduled at their convenience. As completion approached, responses became delayed or stopped entirely. Updates were often sent to our loan officer instead of us. We were not given a final walkthrough or a full set of keys, forcing us to replace all locks at our own expense.

Overall, the home was not complete at closing, and we were left to finish multiple items ourselves. The process from October 2021 to January 2023 was frustrating, stressful, and unnecessarily prolonged. We would not recommend Casanova Custom Homes.
